Two words: Sarah Palin. The question is whether to laugh or cry.
As more and more has come put about this temperamental, petty, ignorant, vindictive grifter, it appears that her actions in private are just as nasty as her racist codeword rabble rousing in political speeches.
Now we find out that she had tantrums if she saw a critical story about herself, refused coaching for interviews, and spent $150,000 outfitting herself and her whole family at Neiman-Marcus and other luxury stores when the McCain campaign team authorized her to spend $20,000 to 25,000 to buy herself six suits.
Do the math. That’s over $4000 a suit. Pretty generous, don’t you think? Yet she chose to take the campaign for everything she could. She spent six times the maximum amount the campaign had counted on.
That should be no surprise coming from someone who billed the state of Alaska hotel expenses for 312 days she slept in her own home in Wasilla last year.
And the list goes on and on. Can you imagine how much Palin would have managed to get out of the U.S. government?
I think we just had a very narrow escape.
