Do you ever wonder who pays for hate speech (hateful ads) and donates money to pass hateful laws that hurt women, gays, minorities, immigrants, certain religions, and democracy in general?Do you want to find out?
A new site lists who gave money to help pass Proposition 8 (which banned gay marriage) in California. The site, http://www.eightmaps.com, uses Google Maps to show where the contributors live.
Would you like to know who contributes to the klu klux klan, for example, or other white-supremacist groups? What about contributors to anti-women’s-rights groups? I thought so.
Would you like to know how many of those yoyos live in your area? Could this be a trend?
If so, it is a controversial one. Some callers on AirAmerica worried that right-wingers would turn the tables to endanger liberals in right-wing communities. One man worried that right-wing copycat sites might endanger his daughter and grandchildren, who live in Georgia.
